• Starting from Paris you\’ll drive leisurely and safely your own automatic Vespa scooter (See Driver\’s License requirement) and follow your French guide on scenic roads to Versailles. This route going through a posh and quite green suburb of Paris is relaxing, inspiring and filled with surprises all along.
• ​As we\’ll arrive, we will go for a walking tour of the gardens, best on week-ends during the Musical Fountain show. We may also drive into the park towards the estate of the Trianon/Domain of Marie-Antoinette.
• ​With the freedom that your scooter gives you, we may explore beyond Versailles the rural charms of countryside small towns, quaint hamlets, farmland and forest. There, we\’ll have the choice of some charming local restaurants for lunch unless we decide to pack some sandwiches for picnic.
• ​Finally, we\’ll take a different route to drive back to Paris. This will give you new exciting sceneries, like an amazing view over Paris from another royal estate. We will enter the city along the Seine river and drive by the Eiffel tower to end your tour on a high note.

Driving in and around Paris is truly easy with a high degree of safety. Our fellow Vespa drivers are always surprised how respectful car drivers are towards two-wheel drivers. Because safety is our priority, to have fun comes with the assurance that you are confident at the wheel of a scooter.

Great! Our scooters are automatic – NO clutch.

​To drive a 50cc automatic scooter in France: You must be at least 18 years old and show proof of a valid, current car driver\’s license.
You must have a fair amount of experience and be confident driving a motorized two-wheel vehicle which the guide of the day will be able to assess.

To drive a 125cc automatic scooter in France: You must show proof of a valid, current Motorcycle endorsed driver\’s license and you must be at least 20 years old. However be aware that, as per our partnership agreement with the Vespa scooter provider, being the holder of a motorcycle license does not automatically grant you access to a 125cc scooter! Although we will notify them, it will depend of their availability of the moment.

​Passengers must be older than 10 years old.

On the day of the tour, before we start, we will require:

• Your current valid driver\’s license
• A valid credit card for a 1500 € safety deposit. This is a hold only – NOT a charge – for the use of the scooter. It will be released to you at the end of the tour.

• 7 hours approximately

• Transfer from/to your hotel to the Paris Vespa boutique
• Private Tour with only you, your travel mate(s) and your guide
• Automatic/no clutch Vespa scooter, 2 helmets, gloves and lock
• Third part/liability insurance
• Your professional guide and his scooter
• The vehicle entry fee to Versailles estate
• Return to the Vespa boutique

• Entries to the Tuesday & Friday musical gardens & weekend musical fountain show (Up to 9€/pp + entry for the guide)

• Our Vespa scooter tour to Versailles and Countryside is mainly focused to providing an outdoor experience. A visit inside the palace is not programmed neither comprised into the price. If you\’d like to add it to your tour, please advise us and we\’ll provide you with information and cost for it. Be aware that a visit inside the palace will be within the time frame of your Vespa scooter tour.
• For holders of a motorcycle endorsed license, it gives you the extra possibility to drive a 125cc instead of a 50cc. However, the attribution is never automatic. Although we\’ll notify our scooter rental partner, it will depend of their availability of the moment. And to drive a 50cc in PAris and around is usually sufficient.
• Tour runs rain or shine. However, we will try our best to find another available day together (with no guarantee). And we are rain-gear equipped top & bottom

Cancellations

For cancellation you may write an email indicating the reference of your booking and your wish to cancel it to hello@citygaytours.com

All cancellations may have a charge according to when you tell us your wish to cancel your booking.

This service has these Cancellation Fees,

• Cancellations up to 7 days before the services: No Cancellation Fee.
• Cancellations between 7 and 4 days before the services: Cancellation Fee of 20% of cost of your booking.
• Cancellations within 3 days before the service or No Show: Cancellation Fee of 100% of cost of your booking.

Any banking fees because of returns will be paid by customers.
